Automatic Musical Instruments Museum "Kawaguchiko Music Forest"

K awaguchiko Music Forest is a small theme park featuring quality music boxes, automatic musical instruments, and a lot of European musical instruments. Performances and shows with musical themes featuring dolls are also an interesting sight.

Where is "Kawaguchiko Music Forest" Located?


It is located right in front of Lake Kawaguchi and 15mins away from "Fuji-Q Highland" by car.

  • By Train : From Shinjuku Station, take the JR Chuo Line Limited Express “”Kajiji”” or “”Azusa””, About 67 minutes. Transfer at Otsuki Station and take the Fujikyu Railway to Kawaguchiko Station, about 55 minutes. From Kawaguchiko Station to Kawaguchiko Music Forest bus stop, take the Kawaguchiko Sightseeing Bus “”Red line”” on platform 1, about 25 minutes.
  • By Expressway bus : From Shinjuku Central Bus Terminal “”Busta Shinjuku”” to Kawaguchiko Station, about 105 minutes.
    From Kawaguchiko Station to Kawaguchiko Music Forest bus stop, take the Kawaguchiko Sightseeing Bus “”Red line”” on platform 1, about 25 minutes.

What to expect at "Kawaguchiko Music Forest"? 

Kawaguchiko Music Forest has a beautiful and scenic outdoor area. You can take a walk around the garden with a beautiful backdrop of the iconic Mt. Fuji. 

There are also a few stores inside the park where you can buy original souvenirs and you can even paint and customize your own music box.

If you are planning a trip to Mt. Fuji area, I highly recommend to visit Kawaguchiko Music Forest. The performances, music boxes and the spectacular ambience at this park are surely worth to visit.
